Mato Grosso may double agricultural production in eight years
In the second article in the series about agribusiness and infrastructure in the state, ANBA shows that producers forecast a harvest of 44.7 million tonnes of grain and fibre in 2012, against 22 million tonnes in the last harvest. The volume of local production has risen eight times in 20 years. The sector currently answers to 70% of the state GDP, which is rising 8% a year.
