Read at this Thursday (18) ANBA Bulletin that Brazilian companies struck deals at Beautyworld Middle East, a cosmetics trade show that occurred this week in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In the stand organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, the seven exhibitors made over 150 during the three-day show. The hair product company Keep, for example, reached agreements with three representatives in the UAE and Egypt, and will deliver 100 units of each of its products.
The special envoy Thais Sousa reports that the hair cosmetics company Amitys, is another company that received orders at the show. Two deals were gone through, one of which from Iraq. “We found lots of people interested in Brazilian products,” said the brand’s owner Maria do Carmo Alves Teixeira. In addition to the Arab Brazilian Chamber’s pavilion, other Brazilian companies were at the event, in standalone stands or missions organized by the sector’s entities.
The show also revealed that Arab brands are interested in selling to Brazil. ““The Arabs want to import Brazilian products but also have their eyes on our cosmetic market, which is globally important,” said Arab Brazilian Chamber head of international offices Rafael Solimeo. The local perfume company Abaq is an example. “We are trying to enter the Brazilian market because just like they (Brazilians) are here (in Dubai), we also want to be there to share our knowledge and culture,” declared Abaq operations manager Ibrahim Ayazidi.
