Pantanal included in the route of bird watchers
Groups of tourists, mainly from Europe, are travelling to the region to observe the bird fauna. According to figures supplied by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), around 650 different species may be observed in the Pantanal, an area of wetland in the midwestern Brazilian states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. Inns that offer the activity have even created a special catalogue for the visitors. This way, they have complete information about the birds they can see during their outings.
