The company, the fourth largest aircraft producer in the world, is the subject of the third article in the series about the largest Brazilian companies in foreign trade. For 2004 the company hopes to return to growth in foreign trade of their aeroplanes – last year the total of planes sold totalled 101, against the 131 of 2002 -, and to do business with the Arab countries.

Starting today, ANBA will publish a series of articles, by reporter Alexandre Rocha, with the profile of Brazilian export giants, each in a different sector of the economy. Petrobras opens the sequence, followed by Vale do Rio Doce, Embraer, Bunge Alimentos, and Volkswagen. Export by these five companies totals 16.22% of all Brazilian export last year.

Tritec Motors, the result of a joint venture between the two carmakers, produces motors for export in their Paraná (southern Brazil) plant, used in cars such as the famous Mini Cooper, among others. For the time being, the main targets being prospected are Brazil, India, and the USA.
