São Paulo – The Brazil Men’s Under-17 National Team will remain at Granja Comary, the Brazilian national teams’ training center in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro state, from August 13 to 23 as part of its preparations for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from November 19 to December 13 this year.
According to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the training camp at Granja Comary will serve as a preparation phase for the 25 players called up by head coach Carlos Eduardo Patetuci for the tournament. During the camp, Brazil will play two friendly matches against Venezuela, on August 20 and 23.
The FIFA U-17 World Cup will feature 48 national teams competing at the Aspire Zone complex in Al Rayyan, on the outskirts of Doha. In addition to host nation Qatar, four other Arab teams will take part in the competition: Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, and Morocco.
Brazil has been drawn into Group I alongside Ireland, Tanzania, and Costa Rica. Qatar will compete in Group A with Egypt, Panama, and Greece. Saudi Arabia is in Group D with France, Haiti, and Uruguay. Algeria will play in Group J alongside the United States, Montenegro, and Chile, while Morocco has been drawn into Group H with Spain, China, and Fiji.
The defending FIFA U-17 World Cup champion is Portugal, which won the tournament for the first time in 2025. Brazil has won the title four times, in 1997, 1999, 2003, and 2019. Among the Arab nations, only Saudi Arabia has won the FIFA U-17 World Cup, claiming the title in 1989.
