Rio de Janeiro – Refinery Abreu e Lima, in Brazil’s Pernambuco state, once again broke records in oil and oil products processing last July. The government-run oil company Petrobras reported previously unmatched output numbers for S-10 diesel, petroleum naphtha and overall production.
Average daily output reached an all-time high for the third straight month, going up 2.3% to 99,180 barrels of oil per day. During July, production stood at 3.07 million barrels of oil, up 4.6% from May.
Production of S-10 diesel, which has low sulfur contents, hit 373,570 cubic meters, the highest in Brazil and equivalent to 32% of nationwide output. The amount is 1.7% higher than the previous record, from March 2016. Petroleum naphtha output climbed 1.6% from the previous record, from May 2016.
