São Paulo – The United Arab Emirates’ HOPE Consortium is hosting the World Immunization & Logistics Summit, a virtual event streaming live March 29 and 30 in partnership with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). Worldwide Covid-19 immunization is considered the biggest, most complex logistical operation in human history. The World Immunization & Logistics Summit will feature over 1,000 online particpiants around the world, in a bid to foster coordination of manpower, assets and infrastructure networks across all industries and geographies worldwide; the sharing of information and open dialogue on the logistical challenges of vaccine distribution, from production to patient; and the uncovering of scalable, real-world solutions to achieve mass, equitable distribution at this critical juncture for manking.
Eighteen speakers in the cutting-edge of the fight against Covid-19 will be featured, including World Health Organization director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus; United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) executive director Henrietta Fore; Abu Dhabi Department of Health chairman Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Hamed; United Kingdom parliamentary undersecretary of state for Business and Industry and Covid Vaccine Deployment Nadhim Zahawi; Abu Dhabi Ports chairman Falah Mohammed Al Ahbabi; Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation CEO Mark Suzman; Etihad Aviation Group Sales and Cargo Department senior vice president Martin Drew; Maqta Gateway CEO Noura Al Dhaheri, and others.
The Summit will address topics including: coordinating a global response to mitigate the public health and economic impact of the pandemic, ensuring equitable access for developing countries and marginalised communities; addressing the greatest public health crisis of our time
Ensuring supply chain integrity; digital solutions for real-time monitoring of vaccine cargo; mobilizing global supply chains through integrated logistics solutions; demand planning, preparedness and overcoming challenges in vaccine administration; plus special regional focus sessions giving a deep-dive analysis of the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
The event will feature industry leaders and senior decision-makers with governments. Health authorities, NGOs, freight forwarders, humanitarian agencies, pharmaceutical companies, vaccine manufacturers, logistics companies, airlines, healthcare providers, scholars, researchers and anyone working in manufacturing, logistics and the administering of vaccines.
