Ship Ary Rongel left Rio de Janeiro on Friday and is going to reach the frozen continent on November 08. This is the 24th Brazilian mission to the region. The scientists are going to work on studies in the area of biology, metrology, climatology and oceanography.

The official Brazilian Portuguese version of the Koran, the holy book of Islam, is going to be presented to the public today. The translation was written by University of São Paulo (USP) professor and Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce vice-president of International Relations Helmi Mohammed Ibraim Nasr. The translation was printed at the King Fahd Complex in Saudi Arabia, from where all Koran versions considered legitimate by the World Islamic League are printed.
