São Paulo – The Board of Directors of the Brazilian government-run oil company Petrobras has approved this Friday (6th) the appointment of Bank of Brazil CEO Aldemir Bendine to run the oil company, replacing Maria das Graças Foster, who resigned last Wednesday (4th). Besides the new CEO, elected by majority vote, The Board of Directors has chosen five new executive directors. Graça Foster has also stepped down from the company’s Board of Directors.
The holder of a degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, an MBA in Finance and in general training to C-level executives, Bendine is also a member of the Board of Directors at the Bank of Brazil.
Elected by majority vote for the Board of Finance and Investor Relations, Ivan de Souza Monteiro will replace Almir Barbassa, who also resigned two days ago. Petrobras’ executive manager for Exploration and Corporate Production, Solange da Silva Guedes, has been elected for the Board of Exploration and Production. The current executive manager of Supply Logistics, Jorge Celestino Ramos, will be the new director of Supply. The current executive manager for Corporate Gas and Energy, Hugo Repsold Júnior, has been elected director of the Board of Gas and Energy. The current executive manager for Underwater Engineering, Roberto Moro, will be the new director of Engineering, Technology and Materials.
