Brasília – The sum of dollar inflow and outflow in Brazil in June, up until last Friday (17th), recorded a deficit of US$ 759 million. The figure concerns commercial and financial operations between Brazil and the foreign market.
So far this month, the balance of trade is running a US$ 1.502 billion surplus, however the outflow of dollars in transfers and payments of interest and dividends left a deficit of US$ 2.261 billion in the 13 working days of June, up until last Friday.
The figures were culled from a bulletin on the flow of foreign exchange disclosed this Wednesday (22nd) by the Central Bank. The bulletin shows that year-to-date, Brazil is running a foreign exchange surplus of US$ 41.63 billion. The figure is much higher than the US$ 24.354 billion surplus recorded in the whole of last year.
