Brasília – Brazilian exports reached US$ 4.768 billion last week, whereas imports reached US$ 4.517 billion, resulting in a surplus of US$ 251 million. The figures were announced this Monday (18th) by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
From the 1st of April until last Friday (15th), the trade surplus (exports minus imports) had reached US$ 1.060 billion, which results in an average of US$ 96.4 million per working day. The rate is 50.2% higher than in the same month of last year, and 30.3% higher than in March.
Year-to-date, the trade surplus has reached US$ 4.229 billion, as a result of US$ 62.103 billion in exports and US$ 57.874 billion in imports, according to Ministry figures.
