São Paulo – Starting August 31, companies from the United Arab Emirates and Qatar will join a delegation of 15 buyers from 10 countries visiting one of Brazil’s largest agribusiness trade shows, Expointer, in Esteio, Rio Grande do Sul state. The companies will take part in business meetings and technical visits at the invitation of the AgroBR sector project, which promotes Brazilian agribusiness products abroad.
AgroBR is a partnership between Brazil’s National Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA), the biggest farm lobby group, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), and Sebrae, which promotes the competitiveness of small businesses. For this edition, the project will receive support from Sebrae-RS, the National Rural Learning Service of Rio Grande do Sul (Senar-RS), and agriculture lobby Farsul.
According to CNA, companies from the United States, Canada, China, Peru, Thailand, Argentina, the United Kingdom and Chile will also join the delegation. The program includes business meetings during Expointer, which runs from August 29 to September 6, as well as technical visits to farms and industrial facilities in Porto Alegre, Esteio, Bento Gonçalves and other cities in Rio Grande do Sul. The participating sectors and products include fresh and processed fruit, olive oil, honey, beverages, juices, spirits, wine, nuts, dairy products, chocolate, yerba mate and spices.
