São Paulo – Brazilian footwear will take part in a promotional initiative in Saudi Arabia in October 2027. The Brazilian Footwear project will make its debut in the Gulf country at Saudi Lifestyle Week. According to the sectoral project, the event, which showcases trends in apparel, footwear, and accessories, offers an opportunity for Brazilian exporters to position themselves in Arab markets.
Brazilian Footwear is a partnership between the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) to promote Brazilian footwear abroad. Between 2026 and 2028, BRL 45 million (USD 9 million) will be invested in internationalization initiatives for shoes made in Brazil. The project presented its 2026–2028 action plan during a webinar last Tuesday (12).
According to Abicalçados, the project will support 14 initiatives, including participation in trade fairs and business missions in the United States, Chile, Italy, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, among other countries.
