Brasília – The Brazilian balance of trade (exports minus imports) was positive in the last week of November, from the 26th to the 30th, at a US$ 459 million surplus. Exports reached US$ 3.633 billion and imports, US$ 3.174 billion. The data were disclosed today (3rd) by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
In November, exports totalled US$ 14.052 billion and imports, US$ 12.025 billion, resulting in a trade balance surplus of US$ 2.027 billion, 26.9% greater than recorded in the same month of 2006.
In the accumulated result for the year so far, the surplus stands at US$ 36.400 billion, with exports at US$ 146.419 billion and imports at US$ 110.019 billion. The surplus recorded in the first 11 months of 2007 is 12.1% lower than recorded in the same period of last year.
