Brasília – The Brazilian trade balance posted a surplus of US$ 617 million from the 1st to the 9th of this month. Exports totalled US$ 4.003 billion and imports, US$ 3.486 billion , according to data disclosed today (10th) by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. The average surplus per working day was US$ 103 million.
Year-to-date, the trade surplus increased to US$ 2.692 billion, with exports totalling US$ 58.393 billion and imports totalling US$ 55.701 billion. The average surplus per working day was US$ 31.3 million, as against US$ 84 million in the same period of last year, representing a decrease of 62.8%.
