The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency have developed the Dubai Business Centre, where businessmen from Brazil may count on cargo movement, storage, redistribution, packing and commercial intelligence support services.

Robert Lee, executive director at Nakheel Investment Projects, a real-estate development company in the United Arab Emirates, will be one of the speakers at Nordest Invest, a tourist and real estate investment event to take place in the state of Pernambuco (NE Brazil). The executive is going to discuss the experience Dubai has as a global tourist destination.

On May 27th and 28th, five importer companies in the cleaning products sector are going to participate in business roundtables with Brazilian companies. Among them is Al Mobidoon, of the United Arab Emirates, which is looking for detergents and disinfectants. The initiative is promoted by the Brazilian Association of Industries of Cleaning Products and Similar Items and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency.

The international meeting, Organised by the Palestinian National Authority, will take place from the 21st to the 23rd and is going to focus on the private sector. Approximately 600 businessmen have enrolled to attend the event, in which more than 80 projects in various sectors will be announced.

Feiarte, which starts today in the city of Curitiba (S Brazil), features handicraft from 32 different countries and 15 Brazilian states. Vases, glasses, narghiles, marquetry boxes, table towels, cushions and various adornments typical of Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia, Morocco and the Emirates will be available at the event.

Flor dos Hibiscus (Hibiscus Flower), based in the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, wants a partner, especially in the Arab world, to help expand production and win the foreign market. The brand produces and trades foods based on hibiscus flowers, which are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Opportunities in service trade between Brazil and the Emirates were among the high points of the seminar about bilateral relations that took place in Rio de Janeiro. Also yesterday, within the new Production Development Policy, the government of Brazil announced measures to benefit sector exports.

The event is scheduled to take place this afternoon at the offices of the National Trade Confederation in Rio de Janeiro. Apart from trade relations, matters like investment, infrastructure, energy and tourism should also be discussed with diplomats, representatives of public organisations and company executives.

The premises will feature music, gastronomy, coffee, jewellery, fashion and handicraft from Brazil, and will aim to attract the attention of importers at Beautyworld Middle East, a beauty sector fair that should take place from May 18th to 20th. The country will also have a stand counting on the presence of 15 national companies.

More than gaining new markets, the mission that the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture is going to promote to Egypt, Algeria and Iran, in June, aims at broadening the range of goods sold. The three countries are large importers of foodstuffs from Brazil, but business is focussed on a few products.

DL Mato Grosso is going to place on the foreign market, between the end of this year and the next, sugar free fondues, bonbons and chocolate bars made by them. The main focus should be the hospitality and deli market in the Arab world.
