Mohamed Benaïssa will be in Brazilian capital Brasília on Friday to discuss topics like the possibility of a trip by Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to Morocco and technical exchange in areas like habitation, education and water resources. The visit is part of a trip around South America to include Paraguay, Colombia and Peru.

Relations between both countries were the theme of the debate yesterday during a seminar at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, attended by around 200 businessmen. Exports from Brazil to Tunisia grew 104% in the last five years, and imports 72%.

The organization is promoting today, in São Paulo, a seminar with the participation of the Foreign Minister of the Arab country, Abdelwahab Abdallah, about business opportunities in the Arab country. The seminar will be followed by business roundtables. Yesterday, during a meeting with the Brazilian minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan, Abdallah discussed the possibility of joint projects in the area of phosphates.

He also bets on tourism. The Tunisian representatives in the sector plan to establish travel packages for Brazilians who visit Europe.

During the visit of the minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab country, Abdelwahab Abdallah, to Brazil, to begin today, agreements will be signed for the teaching of Portuguese at the University of Manouba and for the promotion of participation of Brazilian businessmen in fairs in Tunisia, and vice versa.
