Brasília – Starting next Monday (30th), the Brazilian Central Bank will start the first edition of its Annual Census of Foreign Capitals.
According to the bank, legal entities based in Brazil with equity equal to or higher than US$ 100 million as of December 31st, 2011 are required to submit a statement in case foreigners own any direct stakes in their equity capital.
Brazilian-based enterprises which owe short-term trade credits (due in up to 360 days) issued by foreigners, whose debt is equal to or higher than the equivalent of US$ 10 million.
Investment funds with equity equal to or higher than US$ 100 million on which foreigners own stakes are also required to submit a statement.
The statements are to be submitted from 9:00 am on Monday through 7:00 pm on September 6, 2012. Statements are to be filled in online.
