São Paulo – Organizers of the Libya Coffee Expo (Coffeex) are looking for exhibitors for its second edition. The event will take place in October this year in Tripoli, the capital city of the Arab country. In 2021, the event brought together 43 exhibitors, and held a barista competition and business meetings.
The call for Brazilian exhibitors was made by Abdulnasser Ibrahim, an events specialist who supervises and advises the show. He also has the support of Mariana Proença, a journalist specializing in coffee and event curation. Working in the field for over 16 years, Proença will be the primary contact for the event in Brazil.
According to the show’s advisor in Libya, the event’s first edition, in 2021, received samples of Brazilian coffees. In some booths at the event, there were grains or bags of Brazilian coffee on display. The first edition of the exhibition focused on specialty coffees and received 10,000 visitors.
The event focuses on companies operating with coffee from bean to cup. In 2021, in addition to brands marketing roasted beans and ground coffee, the show attracted coffee shop equipment brands and tea and milk suppliers.
This year’s Libya Coffee Expo will take place from October 1 to 4 at the Qasr Alhana Halls, Al Shaat Road, in Tripoli.
