The Egyptians also opened an opportunity for consultants to provide services in the same area; it takes place within the Railway Improvement and Safety for Egypt Project (RISE). The aim is to improve the safety and quality of rail services along the Alexandria-Cairo-Nag Hammadi corridor.
The initiative comes from Egyptian National Railways (ENR), a public entity under the Egyptian Ministry of Transport. The project received funding from the World Bank. The application deadline for consultants is June 21.
Interested consultants must provide information demonstrating their required qualifications and experience to perform the services. Shortlisting criteria are a university degree in accounting, business administration, strategic management, engineering, economics, law, or a related field, and at least 15 years of experience in similar procurements.
The purpose of the consultancy services is to assist ENR in all activities such as safety improvement works in stations, roads, intersections, locomotives, future projects’ preparation, among others. More information on this initiative can be found on the World Bank website.
