São Paulo – The Middle East Monitor (MEMO) is now accepting submissions for the 14th Palestine Book Awards, which will recognize books published about Palestine between May 2024 and April 2025. MEMO is a non-profit political research institute that provides content on Middle Eastern issues, particularly those related to Palestine. The MEMO headquarters, which organizes the award, is located in London, United Kingdom.
The institute reported that it invites publishers, authors, and individuals to submit their works. Winners will be selected across several categories, including Academic, Translation, Creative, Memoir and Social History. Books eligible for submission must be written — or available in — English on the topic of Palestine. Both fiction and non-fiction works, prose and poetry, including books with multiple authors, will be accepted. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2025.
“Through this annual celebration of literature, MEMO seeks to highlight emerging and new books on Palestine and the Palestinian narrative,” says the statement. Seven printed copies of the work must be sent to addresses that will be provided to candidates once their registration is confirmed. An awards ceremony will take place in November 2025.
