São Paulo – Francal, the footwear and accessories fair that took place this week in the city of São Paulo, was visited by importers from four Arab countries. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Lebanon had buyers in the exhibition, which received 1,100 foreigners between Sunday (26) and Wednesday (29) at Parque Anhembi. A total of 35,000 people visited the fair, according to information released by the event’s press office.
Besides the Arabs, also attending Francal to get to know the innovations presented by the Brazilian footwear industry were importers from South Africa, Angola, Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, China, Singapore, Colombia, South Korea, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ecuador, Spain, United States, France, Greece, Guatemala, French Guiana, England, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Romania, Russia, Suriname, Turkey, Uruguay, Venezuela and Zambia. In all, 45 countries had representatives.
The organization described the fair as the event that marked the business rebound of the sector for the second half of the year. The exhibition presented the Spring-Summer footwear and accessories collection and retailers made their orders for the period. In a release by Francal’s press office, the fair’s president, Abdala Jamil Abdala, said that the stabilization of the political scenario in Brazil, the cold weather of the last few weeks, the return of consumers to the stores and the favorable scenario to exports improved business.
The fair’s press office surveyed the opinion of exhibitors on sales and among them were those who sold to the Middle East. “It was exceptional, we welcomed people from all regions of Brazil, as well as visitors from Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina and Middle East countries”, said Klin’s business manager Otavio Fachioli. Klin produces children’s footwear. Petite Jolie’s business manager, Guilherme Blos, said he noticed that buyers came to Francal hoping for a strong second half.
