Brasília – The Brazilian industry’s use of installed capacity dropped by 0.5 percentage point from February to March, from 82 to 81.5 points. In March 2011, the index reached 82.7 points.
Despite the use of installed capacity, actual revenues increased by 0.9% compared with February, discounting inflation. Compared with March 2011, the use of installed capacity grew by 3.6%, according to the Industrial Indicators survey issued this Wednesday (9th) by the National Confederation of industries (CNI).
The employment rate increased by 0.3%, in March compared with February. Compared with the same month of 2011, employment rates grew by 0.4%. Worker’s actual average wage increased by 5.7% in March as against February and by 9.4% compared with March 2011. Actual total wages paid (discounting inflation) grew by 6.3% compared with February and by 9.8% compared with March last year.
