Rio de Janeiro – The preliminary data of official inflation, as measured by the Extended National Consumer Price Index – 15 (IPCA-15), went up 0.15% in March. The rate stood below the 0.54% registered in February of this year and the 0.43% of March 2016.
According to data made public this Wednesday (22) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the IPCA-15 has gone up 4.73% year-over-year, standing close to the center of the target of 4.5% established by the federal government. This year, the preliminary official inflation rate is at 1%.
