São Paulo – This Monday (19th), the Brazilian aircraft manufacturing company Embraer disclosed its regional aviation outlook report for the next 20 years. In it, the company informs its expected demand for commercial aircraft with 30 to 120 seats, which comprise its leading market niche. In the Middle East, for instance, the company estimates that 240 aircraft will be purchased, the equivalent of 4% or the total to be delivered by manufacturers during the period.
In total, Embraer forecasts that the industry is going to deliver 6,875 units of the segment up until 2029, and that the leading market will be North America, followed by Europe, China, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Middle East and Africa. Sales of regional aircraft should total US$ 200 billion in 20 years, according to the company.
According to the company, air traffic should grow by 4.9% on average during the period, led by China, with annual growth of 7.3%. Latin America, Asia Pacific, Russia and the CIS should grow by 6% this year . The expected growth rate for Africa is 5%, and 3.5% for Europe.
