São Paulo – Morocco, the Arab country in North Africa, served as inspiration for shoe producer Satryani, from Sapiranga, in Rio Grande do Sul, to establish its collection for the coming spring-summer season. According to company director Fabiana Petry da Silva, the choice of the country was due to the colours and textures that may be used based on the theme.
The delicate forms and richness of highlights, according to her, are part of the collection. The presence of theme “Morocco” may also be seen in the prints and composition of the leathers. The factory has not sent a professional or team to the country for research. It was, according to Fabiana, through the Internet or media like magazines and books.
The design team at Satryani is run by brand owner and shoe designer Luiz Alberto da Silva. It was he who established the company, in 1999. The brand produces high-end shoes and luxury accessories.
“Satryani has its own identity, aligning creations to the most recent tendencies in fashion, using in its collections differentiated material, noble leathers, exclusive prints with creative and contemporary lines,” says Fabiana.
Satryani concentrates operations at a unit in Sapiranga. Monthly production is 10,000 items and exports answer to 25% of this total. According to Fabiana, abroad, the shoes go to France, Greece, Poland, Croatia, Cyprus, the United States, Canada, Bolivia, Paraguay, South Africa, Angola and Mozambique.
The brand does not have its own shops. The products are sold at 200 specialised multibrand points of sale in Brazil. Satryani is one of the Brazilian factories to participate in the International Shoes and Accessories Fashion Fair (Francal), to take place from June 27 to 30, in the city of São Paulo.
