São Paulo – Brazil’s oil and gas output reached 3.21 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in June, a record high, according to data released this Tuesday (2) by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). Oil production was 2.558 million daily barrels, an increase of 2.9% over May and 6.8% in comparison to June 2015.
Natural gas production was 103.5 million cubic meters per day, an increase of 3.7% in comparison to May and 8.4% over June of last year. Output of both oil and gas were record high.
In the deep-water pre-salt layer, production reached 1 million daily barrels of oil and 38.1 million cubic meters of natural gas per day in June, resulting in 1.24 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, up 8.2% over May.
