Brasília – The new module of Siscomex Exportação Web (Novoex), which allows foreign trade operations to be registered on the internet, will start operating this Wednesday (1st). The system is replacing Siscomex Exportação, which was launched in 1993.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, the Novoex system can be directly accessed online, with no need for users to install additional software. In the system, users can save Export registries (Res, in the Portuguese acronym) and Credit registries (RCs).
According to the ministry, with its new functionalities, Novoex enables information from past registries to be used, and it also enables users to do batch REs, thus making the work of operators easier and reducing the time that operations require. Novoex also features a more interactive user interface, greater process visibility to exporters, and RE simulations prior to the actual operation being made.
The ministry’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) has set up a customer service centre to clarify users’ questions regarding the changes. Contact can be made by telephone (+55 61 2027-8200) and email novoex@mdic.gov.br.
