Vienna – The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced this Tuesday (13th) that its oil production will increase to 29.8 million barrels per day (bpd) this year, 100,000 more barrels than the estimated in April, but 400,000 less barrels than in 2013. According to the latest monthly report on the oil market, released this Tuesday in Vienna, Austria, Opec maintains the estimated global demand for oil and the main perspectives for the global economy.
The global demand should increase 1.14 million (bpd) (up 1.2%) this year to 91.15 million bpd. China and Middle East countries should account for half of this increase. In relation to the world economy, the Opec analysts keep the estimated increase of 3.4%, against 2.9% last year.
