Rio de Janeiro – Petrobras announced this Tuesday (7th), in a press release, a new discovery in ultradeep waters in the Pudim well, on Espírito Santo Basin’s post-salt layer.
According to Petrobras, good quality oil was found, at a depth of 3,550 metres. The Pudim well is set to be drilled further, up to 4,500 metres of depth.
The Brigadeiro area, located 121 kilometres from the coast of Vitória (ES), is operated by Petrobras, which owns a 65% stake in the area, in a partnership with Shell Brasil Petróleo (20%) and Inpex Petróleo Santos (15%).
