Rio de Janeiro – Brazilian companies Petrobras and BG Brasil signed a technical cooperation agreement for pre-salt layer oil exploration and production. Under the agreement, the two companies will invest a combined amount of 60 million reals (US$ 33.9 million) in developing solutions for well construction and production optimization.
The agreement will remain effective for three years. BG Brasil is Petrobras’ partner for pre-salt oil exploration in five blocks in the fields of Lula, Cernambi, Iara, Carioca and Guará, in the Santos Basin.
