São Paulo – Car, light commercial vehicle, bus and truck sales in Brazil grew 14.6% in last year comparing to 2017, with 2,566,235 units sold. It is the second consecutive year with a growth. The data were released this Thursday (3) by the Automotive Vehicles Distribution National Federation (FENABRAVE). In December, there was a 10.33% growth over the same month of 2017, arriving at 234,557.
Considering only cars and light commercial vehicles (pickup trucks and vans), there was a 13.74% growth over last year in comparison with 2017, a total of 2.47 million units sold. The expectation for 2019 is a 11% growth in these two segments. For trucks and buses, FENABRAVE expects a 15.9% growth this year.
