Rio de Janeiro – Services sector activity was up 1% in November from October 2017 as per the Monthly Services Survey made public this Friday (12) in Rio de Janeiro by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The hike came after a 0.8% drop in October and a 0.1% drop in September.
Services activity dropped by 0.7% year-on-year in November, 3.2% year-to-date through November and 3.4% in the 12 months through November.
Activity picked up in five out of six subsectors tracked by the IBGE in November from October. It was up 0.9% in services rendered to households, information/communication services and tourism activities.
