São Paulo – Supermarkets’ real value of sales went up 1.58% in 2016 in comparison to the previous year. The National Sales Index was made public this Monday (30) by the Brazilian Association of Supermarkets (Abras). For 2017, the association is expecting a growth in sales of 1.3%.
The association has said that sales in December 2016 increased 20.89% in comparison to November of the same year and 2.23% in comparison to the same month of the previous year, driven up by the holidays’ shopping season.
