The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce opened its office in the capital city on Tuesday (19) and now has five units across Brazil and elsewhere. The event brought together representatives of the government, diplomats and businesspeople.
The CACB and the Arab Brazilian Chamber signed an agreement to issue certificates of origin and will organize a virtual event to discuss the topic. Rules of origin and digital certification will also be subjects of the webinar, which is open for registration.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber signed an agreement with Qatar’s Port Health and Food Control Section for the electronic verification of documents in Brazilian food exports to the Arab country.
The organization partnered up with the Confederation of Trade and Business Associations in Brazil (CACB) and the service is being made available in São Paulo and Itajaí since early February. Preferential certificates of origin are a requirement for eligibility for tariff breaks or tariff exemption in trade with countries that sustain free trade agreements with Brazil.
The organization will have its anniversary on July 2, 2020. To mark the occasion, it will release on July 22 the first-ever specific research into Arab immigration to Brazil.
The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is hosting on Wednesday (13) an online conference on Brazilian-Arab relations and the new global scenario brought about by Covid-19, featuring VP Hamilton Mourão.
The online event ‘Encouraging and Developing Brazilian-Arab Bilateral Relations’ will be hosted by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Fambras Halal at 9 am on the 29th. Registration is open.
