Conflict led to a decline in Brazil’s chicken meat shipments to the Middle East in March compared to February. Despite this, more than 45,000 tonnes were sent to countries directly impacted by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, according to Ricardo Santin.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were some of the leading buyers of the product in October. The reopening of the Chinese market is expected to lead the sector to perform better than in 2024.
Brazilian chicken meat exports increased in August compared to the same month last year. Saudi Arabia slightly raised its purchases, while the UAE reduced its imports.
Meat lobby expects a slight drop in exports this year. Production is projected to reach 15.4 million tons.
Alongside the United Arab Emirates, the Gulf country ranked among the ten largest destinations of Brazilian agricultural and livestock products in July.
Three countries have greenlit chicken meat imports from Brazil according to the latest update from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. In the Arab world, restrictions have been lifted in all but two countries.
Arab-Brazilian Chamber sees a recovery in Brazil’s chicken meat exports to the Arab market. In the first half of the year, the decline was only 0.53%. Kuwait and Bahrain recently lifted their restrictions.
At a meeting on Sunday, the committee of Kuwait’s Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) recommended lifting the ban on imports of Brazilian chicken meat.
