Photos of venues in the Arab country, taken by Stephan Zaubitzer of Germany, are featured in the exhibition ‘Taswir, contemporary Arab photography,’ opening Thursday (28) at the Instituto Tomie Ohtake.

The work of Lebanese-born, American-naturalized photographer Rania Matar discusses the universality of growing up for women around the globe. She is exhibiting in ‘Taswir, a fotografia árabe contemporânea,’ a show opening Thursday in São Paulo.

Exhibit ‘Taswir’ will mark Arab Community Day and the Arab League’s 74th anniversary. The first action in an Arab Chamber partnership with Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, it opens March 28 at São Paulo’s Instituto Tomie Ohtake, featuring 78 pictures by 14 photographers.
