Brasília – The head of the International Monetary Fund mission which is now in Brazil, Jorge Marquez-Ruarte, declared that the country is in good shape and that there are reasons to be confident. He also referred to the possibility of renewing the loan agreement with the IMF.
"The market is confident in Brazil. The government has shown lots of energy in moving ahead with the implementation of necessary reforms. There are good reasons to believe that the country knows how to do what is appropriate to deal with crises," said Marques-Ruarte.
