Brasília – The first week of February regierstered a trade surplus of US$ 432 million, according to figures disclosed on Monday (7) by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. In the period, with four working days, exports totalled US$ 3.531 billion, with a daily average of US$ 882.8 million.
Imports reached US$ 3.099 billion, with a daily average of US$ 774.8 million. From January to the first week of this month, the trade surplus reached US$ 856 million, against a deficit of US$ 351 million in the same period in 2010.
This year up to last week, exports totalled US$ 18.746 billion (a daily average of US$ 749.8 million) and imports totalled US$ 17.890 billion (a daily average of US$ 715.6 million).
