São Paulo – Where to stay during the World Cup in Qatar? Now, fans visiting the Arab country to watch the matches will have the option of staying in modular desert chalets, in fan villages, according to the Qatar Accommodation Agency (QAA), which is part of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The modular chalets offer a casual style for fans to camp in the desert in comfort. There are three options for venues in Doha: Zafaran, Ras Bu Fontas, and Rawdat Al Jahhaniya, all within easy reach by public transport and close to cultural attractions, beaches, as well as stadiums, and other FIFA World Cup activities.
Modular cabins for two people cost USD 207 per night – the price per person would be about USD 103. Each unit includes two single beds or one double bed, a private bathroom, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, housekeeping a few times a week, and adjacent restaurants with different dining options.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup has an official accommodations page in Qatar, a platform offering options for hotels, apartments, cabins on cruise ships, and fan villages in the desert. To make a reservation, a valid registration number is required, provided by FIFA when confirming the purchase of tickets for one or more matches in the tournament.
After purchasing tickets, it will be possible to request the Hayya Card, the “Fan ID” in this edition of the Cup. The Hayya Card is a card to allow entry into the country, access to stadiums on match days, and transportation benefits during the World Cup period.
The Hayya Card registration can be made through the website hayya.qatar2022.qa.
