São Paulo – Next Monday (21st), the Arab Summit for Social and Economic Development will open in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The meeting will bring together the ministers of External Relations and Economy of Arab countries. They will discuss tandem project development among Middle East and North Africa countries, and a common proposal for financing small and medium businesses in the region.
According to information from the Qatar News Agency, one of the main topics will be a project presented by the Kuwaiti emir, Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to allocate US$ 2 billion to funding small and medium enterprises in the region.
Other topics will include projects for cooperation among countries to address “current challenges and changes in the region,” according to the deputy secretary general of the Arab League, Ahmad Bin Hilli. Another matter on the agenda is connecting Arab countries by means of railways, according to Hilli.
