São Paulo – Sales of autos, utility vehicles, trucks and buses in Brazil totaled 3.5 million of units in 2014 and were 7.2% less than in 2013, according to the report released this Tuesday (06) by the National Federation of Automotive Vehicles (Fenabrave, in the acronym in Portuguese).
However, the sector recorded an increase in December sales, with 370 unities being sold, a 4.6% growth over December 2013 and 25.6% over November 2014.
The sector’s expectation for 2015 is for even less sales than in 2014, with a 0.5% reduction.
Among the auto manufacturers, Fiat kept the top spot with 21% of the total sold. Following were General Motors (17.4%), Volkswagen (17.3) and Ford (9.3%). Fiat Palio was the most sold vehicle in Brazil.
