São Paulo – Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Centre opened a selection process for their director post. The place is subordinated to Brazil’s embassy in Beirut and operates in the promotion of Portuguese and Brazilian culture. Registration can be made until April 15th.
The new manager will be responsible for the formulation and execution of the institution’s budget and activities. The place offers regular courses on Portuguese and promotes several cultural activities, such as movie screenings, exhibitions and workshops related to Brazil.
The candidates must be of Lebanese nationality or have a visa status that allows for residence and work in the Arab country. It’s necessary to have higher education diploma and be fluent in Portuguese and English.
According to the public notice of the selection process, preference will be given to candidates with experience on management of cultural or educational institutions; or experience on teaching of Portuguese or management of cultural projects.
The selection will be made based on curriculum analysis and personal interview. The chosen candidate will go through a probation period of four months at the embassy. If approved, the candidate will be confirmed on the post.
The new director of the Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Centre will be hired under the Lebanese labor legislation with 40 hours per week. The wage will be of six million Lebanese pounds, which converts to about R$ 12,500 (US$ 3,969).
