From the Newsroom* São Paulo – Brazilian coffee export revenues grew 22.7% in February when compared to the same month last year. They rose from US$ 177 million to US$ 217 million. External sales in the sector increased by 3.8% in February this year in comparison to the same month in 2005. The products that had greater impact in the performance were tobacco, pulp and paper, leather, coffee and meats. Meat exports increased by 6%.
Agência Brasil São Paulo- Exports of chicken in January reached 213,700 tons, up 14% when compared to January 2005. Even better news was that the revenue reached almost US$ 281 million, up 41.5%.
