The Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina (Fiesc) signed on Thursday (02), in Dubai, an agreement for cooperation with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This is the second agreement of the kind signed during the mission of businessmen from the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina to the region. Porto Ferreira, a maker of floor tiles, ceramics and facing, is going to start exporting to Kuwait, Oman, Yemen and Iran. The company closed new export contracts during the Big 5 Show, in Dubai, and is going to ship 120 containers to the region. Brazilian participation in the fair is promoted by the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) and by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.

International Commercial Center, which operates in various sectors, plans to invest US$ 50 million in mills in the country. Directors at the company met yesterday in Kuwait with the delegation of Brazilian businessmen that is organized by the Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.

The agreement is going to help Brazilian products enter the Arab countries. The document was signed by representatives of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and of the Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina, during a mission organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil, are taking representatives of ten companies and organizations in the construction industry to seek new business opportunities in Kuwait, the Emirates, and Qatar. The executives will engage in business meetings, visit large construction companies, and participate in trade fair the Big 5 Show.

BioFach LA, the Latin America version of the largest organic product fair in the world, is scheduled to start tomorrow in the city of São Paulo. In the sidelines of fair, ExpoSustentat, an event turned to the sustainable goods and services sector, will also take place. Importers from 12 countries, 5,000 visitors and another 300 exhibitors are expected.

Seleme, a maker of wooden panels and frames for civil construction, exports 100% of production and wants to diversify markets. Businessman Gilberto Seleme is going to participate in the trade delegation from the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina that is going to visit three countries in the Gulf starting on October 26, as is businessman Nagib Daher, from ironworks Metalúrgica Duque.

According to the president of the southern Brazilian state’s Chamber of Construction Industries, José Antonio Vieira, who is going to participate in the trade mission to the Gulf, to begin on October 26, the state is a good option for investment in tourism.
