Lessons at the Language Institute at Damascus University begin in November. They will be taught by Brazilian professor Paula Caffaro, graduated in letters from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. The course will last seven months and the classes will take place three times a week.

Established in 1955, named As Etapas, the magazine had its name changed to Chams, which means sun in Arabic, in 1991. The ceremony was attended by various authorities connected to the Arab community in Brazil.
