Group Al Fallahin, from the city of Belo Horizonte, capital of the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, is going to release at the beginning of next year a CD with Egyptian classical music. The group is also preparing a Lebanese operetta. The group is made up of six musicians and plays classical music from 24 countries, mostly Arab.

Students and professors of teaching institutions in the city met yesterday at the event about culture and the Arab world promoted by the Jerusalem Institute of Brazil in the city of Campinas, in the interior of the state of São Paulo. Now the idea is also to discuss the theme in colleges.

Tomorrow there will be a series of talks about the Arab world in the city of Campinas, one of the largest in the southeastern Brazilian state of São Paulo. Among them a presentation by the secretary general of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, who is going to address the economic potential of the region. The event will also count on the presence of politicians, academics and businessmen and will include presentations of folkloric dance.
