Small dairy farmers in the Marília region, in the interior of the São Paulo state, invest in productivity and technology to increase their earnings and reach the international market in the future.

Export revenues reached US$ 7.4 billion from January to October this year, 18.8% a figure higher than the US$ 6.2 billion recorded in the same period last year, but less than 2008’s US$ 10.3 billion.

According to the Fiesp, from July to September this year, imported goods have accounted for 22.7% of domestic consumption, as against 20.7% in the second quarter. The ratio is the highest since 2003.

The enterprise achieved a net profit of US$ 925 million in the first half of the 2010-2011 financial year. The figure represents growth of 351% over the same period of the previous financial year.
