São Paulo – Revenue from Brazilian coffee exports to Arab countries from January to April was up 26.3% from the same months in 2016. In the first four months of 2017, the country grossed USD 71.9 million from sales of the commodity to the Middle East and North Africa, at 415,962 60 kg bags shipped abroad. The numbers were made public this Wednesday (10) by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé).
Overall exports from Brazil reached USD 1.78 billion, up 7.2% from January to April 2016. In April alone, revenue reached USD 369 million, up 2.7% from April 2016.
