São Paulo – Coffee exports from Brazil to Arab countries were down 1% year-on-year in January, according to data released by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (CeCafé). The volume shipped was 135,600 tons in January 2015, against 137,500 tons in January 2014. Revenues were up 15%, from US$ 1.1 million to US$ 19.7 million.
Overall, Brazilian coffee export revenues were up 53.3% in January from January last year to US$ 590.6 million, the highest in four years in January. Volume was up 6.8% to 2.9 million bags, including green, roasted, ground, and soluble coffee.
